Whaly Coyote

Powered by an ePropulsion Navy 3.0 Electric engine and a substantial E30 battery the boat is silent except for the noise of the water breaking against the boat.

With a 75 km range at low power and a cruising speed of 4 km/h, Whaly Coyote is perfect for extended filming sessions. Even at higher speeds of 15 km/h, we can cover up to 20 km on a single charge. Thanks to its solar-charged battery, we enjoy free motoring, allowing us to record our sailing adventures without disturbing the natural sound environment.

Whaly Coyote's virtually silent engine ensures that we capture high-quality audio while filming, making it an invaluable tool in documenting our journey on the River Thames.

Camera Boat

Our silent camera boat, Whaly Coyote, is equipped with a range of versatile camera mounting options to capture stunning footage of sailing activities.
Here's how we configure our camera setups:

A-Frame Mount: This mount provides a high, panoramic view from above the boat in any direction, especially useful for capturing rescue shots when Whaly Coyote is used as a Safety Boat.

Tripod Bow Mount: Ideal for all-purpose filming, this mount securely holds our Panasonic camera at the bow, allowing us to capture clear footage of sailing boats as they pass by.

Jib Mount: We use either a 6-foot or 12-foot jib to extend the camera well out of the boat, almost reaching inside the sailboats as they glide by. The jib can achieve dramatic, drone-like aerial views or close-up water-level shots, offering unique perspectives of the action.

Lowered Bow: The bow of Whaly Coyote can be lowered while in motion, allowing us to get exceptional water-level shots without any interference from the hull.

These configurations enable us to capture dynamic and immersive footage, enhancing our ability to document every detail of our sailing adventures.
