This is the Upper Thames Sails Club first hosting of a Lightning Meeting. Twelve boats came and entered the race series. - One in the morning and two in the afternoon.
The first race had a different start to our normal races, using tigress V as the start line because of the Start Sail mayhem going on at the same time., but with as may Start Sail boats out of the way as possible, the race started and the boats battled up the river, with our own Keira in the mix.
It was great to see a fleet of Lightnings racing up and down the river. Hopefully this can become a regular event.
