Having recovered from the initial panic we then seriously got down to planning. The first issue was getting time off work for my wife and me reorganising my Private Tuition so that the students could either miss a week or be taught by my son - who teaches with me.
The we looked at flights - Luton ( 10 miles of so from us ) to Croatia was possible, but not on the Saturday and early and late flights, so a 3am start will be necessary for the Holiday. Flights then needed to be made earlier than the holiday and later, so this meant finding an apartment near the boat for a couple of days and the small town of Trogir near the airport seemed to fit in nicely. We also have hired a car which will enable us to get around Croatia and maybe help the other crew as well.
Our last visit to Trogir was some 20 years ago when we hired a villa about 10 miles north in a small village on the coast called Razanj. It will be interesting to see if the town has changed much in the intervening years.
