Part of the Tradition of the Upper Thames Sailing Club is for members to gather on the club balcony at 11am and to fire the canon to signify two minutes silence and to lower the Union Flag.
The canons came out to signify the start and the end of the two minute silence.
The first race started with little wind but as the race went on the wind filled in building to a Force 3.
The second race with more wind divided the pack into the Phantoms in the lead and the OK and the Handicap fleets grouped together.
