Not a breath of wind

There was so little wind that many members brought their paddle boards. Paul and I tried to go out. The first time having stalled in the river we needed the electric engine to get us started but having done a lap the wind picked up for a few minutes - enough to get us nearly to the Spade Oak and nearly back again before the died again.

We took our sailing boat out, but as soon as we got out into the stream, we were going backwards. So, we put on the e-propulsion engine and headed upriver for a pleasant cruise in the sunshine. We had another attempt a little later, with some success, but it was hard going in 2 mph winds. The electric engine gave us a smoother ride, in the right direction.
