The idea behind this boat is to help teach me and perhaps others to sail. One of the first things we discovered is that deigning a model dinghy is just the same as designing a real boat. Everything is the same - just smaller.
Having used CAD to design the boat, then it was a case of printing it out. The boat was too long to be printed in one piece, so we decided to print the boat in thirds and then glue them together.
The Hull was printed from ABS plastic and then glued together to form a complete hull
The mast was created from 9mm dowel and the boom from 6mm dowel, joined by screw hooks.
