Crashing into the Marina

In the gust winf=ds as we gybe the boat heels over as we correct the roll.

Not My Fault

I would like to point out I was the crew and not the Helm when we managed to crash into the Marina. I didn't get the Jib over quick enough but I still reckon it was not my fault. The Helm ( my son Paul) knows how slow I am so shouldn't have expected miracles . Anyway you can watch the video and decide that it was (partially my fault.)

It was quite a windy day

The wind was gusting. We were gybing and we were running out of room.

The end of the Marina

Good Helming meant that we didn't hit any boats, and we didn't hit the marina very hard. No damage to either, but the boat did come to an abrupt stop from 2 mph to zero in less than an inch.

It was a windy and gusty day.

It was quite a windy day with the wind at 15mph gusting to 30 and gusting in a different direction. The safety boat was kept busy
