A Windy Race in Early April

With strong Gusts the sailing boats were doing over 10kph

Ideal sailing conditions. Six boats took to the water and raced up the River Thames​ in a Handicap race. A Phantom, two OK's, a Laser and a National, all aiming for the mark. At the speed they travelling at the completed a lap in about 6 minutes, up river was quick and the down was hairy.

There was fun before the race started with a few capsizes as the sailors discovered the direction of the wind gusts

This made for an exciting race as the boats tacked up and down the river
