Raining, No Wind

Lonely

It was just about raining. There was no wind to speak of. Wednesday on the water consisted of and Instructor and a Safety Boat Crew and no one else. I couldn't even take a good picture of the rain on the river, because it wasn't even raining properly.

Getting ready for the AGM

Paul and I went inside the clubhouse, and got the projector ready and checked other things for the AGM.

Out in the Whaly

Don went by in a tug pushing and pulling a houseboat down the Thames. As the boat passed the clubhouse Don came out of the boat to take the Salute.. To show how the day was I didn't even have the camera ready. Keira and her Dad came down to the clubhouse , not to sail but to move their boats off the frontage to the boat park. With very little persuasion Keira took the helm of the Whaly and took us on a ride down the river to look at a Giraffe, a Lion and a Gorilla in someone's garden, in now the heavier rain. And she took us down to Cookham sailing Club which  now sadly has fewer sailors and more rowers. On the way back, Keira's skills controlling the boat improving she managed to gently pull the boat up near to a buoy, before gently mooring the boat on the jetty. It hadn't been a the best day to go sailing, but we did mange to get out on the river and visit a few places that we hadn't seen in a while.
